IN MEMORY OF ABC MEMBERS WHO HAVE BEEN CALLED HOME

Your smile is gone forever

Your hands we cannot touch

Thank God for precious memories of

 Ones we loved so much

It breaks our hearts to lose you

But you did not go alone

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home

Chuck Pendergast

My biological father, Charles "Chuck" Pendergast, was a truly great guy for whom I was blessed to get to know the final 6 years of his life. His untimely death in June 2003 (undiagnosed brain tumor) knocked us all off our feet, but for the funeral, the family agreed I should give a eulogy. It was a true honor for me to provide such a service for this special man, who always affectionately referred to himself as my "bio-dad". Well, bio-dad, I miss you much and know you’d be proud of the paths my life continues to take, and you know I’ll never forget you. Kenny Tucker Chalmette, LA

Julie Brown

Our late friend Julie Brown was reunited with her daughter Kenna Stephenson. She was so proud of Kenna who had become a doctor and for the opportunity to meet her granddaughters who meant the world to her. Kenna was raised and lived in Texas but this did not stop the bond Julie held so deeply in her heart for Kenna and her granddaughters. Julie came to ABC meetings regularly and was a bundle of energy and was always willing to lend a shoulder to those who needed it. Joyce Myers, another member of ABC, met Julie online and suggested that Julie become a member of ABC. They became close friends as we all have over the years. We are all grateful for the opportunity for having met Julie and to have shared in her story. She has touched all of our lives in a very special way. God Bless.
